It's a Rogue Thing: Bringing Climate Concerns Home

A Project Sponsored by the Southern Oregon Climate Action Network

Climate change is personal. It will affect everything we care most about--our families, homes, livelihoods, and beautiful valley--if we don't take action now. We're getting creative to tackle the problem in the Rogue Valley, and invite you to the Party!

On February 17th, with a host of local groups a Southern Oregon event is being planned from app. 1:00 to 3:30 pm featuring an art event, education materials, and local speakers. The event will start at the Medford Public Library and then move to Porters Restaurant N. parking lot (on Front St) where the giant fish will appear.
Please plan to join us.
The event is free, open to the public, and suitable for all ages.
It coincides with national action occurring in Washington DC.

Participants will create artistic images of what climate change means personally on cardboard tiles shaped in the form of simple houses - representing our homes.
These tiles will double as scales and then be formed into the shape of a huge salmon - representing our threatened Rogue Valley environment.
